Hi, I'm Holly.

I have a bazillion allergies and intolerances when it comes to food.👅👀 I made this blog to help anyone cook for someone in the same boat! I can never find a recipe that I can just straight up USE. I always having to swap out ingredients and research what are good substitutions and alternatives for the things I need to leave out. So I hope that by putting all my tweaked recipes out here, I can give you a delightful 🎉 yay! 🎉 in your day when you find a recipe you can use, as is! No longer shall I scour the internet in the vain hope of finding a blog that has all my allergies and intolerances covered in one fell swoop. I will BE the blog! I am your gobsend!!👅🙌

Where does the name 'Gobsend' come from?
It's actually an acronym for all the things I can't eat! (Yes, I too was dead impressed with myself when I came up with this 😎)

G = gluten free 🌾
O = oral allergy syndrome - OAS (basically a birch pollen allergy)🍒
B = blood type O food pharmacy diet 💉
S = soy 🌱 & sugar 🍭
E = eggs 🍳
N = nightshades 🍅 & nuts 🌰
D = dairy 🍼

I've written out all the ingredients and foods that you won't find in my recipes. Basically all the foods I can't eat and don't cook with. I know there will be some things on this list which I can eat, but others can't, but I hope you can find at least one recipe you can enjoy here 💖👀

Ideally I'd like to be vegan. But at the moment I'm transitioning. One of the big roadbumps I'm experiencing is finding vegan recipes that FREEZE well, because I batch cook my food. I've got some lovely recipes that just turn to mush in the freezer 😂. So I'll be trying to upload ones that freeze well, but I might still include the recipes for the ones that don't, and of course give you a giant heads up that they don't freeze well!

If the uploads are few and far between - that's because I'm recovering from chronic fatigue symptom at the moment! In my fantasies I'm taking beautiful images of my stunningly styled food in full daylight with top notch kit. 😃 But for now - I'll actually be taking them on my lap tray, exactly as they're put on the plate by my lovely carers. Twenty percent effort is good enough 💓😊
